“Harmonizing and Radiating Peace: The Healing Presence of the Harp in a Medical Setting” presented by Nancy Kelly Kleiman, a harpist who plays for patients, visitors and medical personnel at hospitals in the Longwood Medical area. She will speak on how spirituality has guided her to transform discord in the hospital setting into grace, keeping the “Divine Melody of Life” flowing in stress-filled settings.

“A View from the Bench — My Spiritual Journey as an Organist and Musician” presented by Nancy Granert, the organist at Boston's Emmanuel Church, Boston Jewish Spirit, and the organist-in-residence at Harvard’s Memorial Church. Ms. Granert has extensive experience concertizing on world renowned organs throughout the world and continues to be involved in the American Guild of Organists.

“Spirituality in Jewish Music: Traditional and Contemporary” presented by Rabbi Judith Kummer, Director of the Jewish Chaplaincy Council of Massachusetts, a hospital and elder-care chaplaincy agency. Rabbi Kummer is a composer of contemporary liturgy which has been published in several prayer books. Her musical compositions have made their way into the regular liturgical practices of many congregations.
CAMBRIDGE ONLY — Thursday, October 14th at 7 PM
Sing Choirs of Angels — Music and Spirituality at the Boston Archdiocesan Choir School, with John Robinson, the new Headmaster/Music Director of the Choir School who joined the faculty this August from Canterbury Cathedral in England. Ten students from the Choir School will present on the challenges and rewards
of an education in music — especially in the Archdiocese Choir School in Boston.
LEXINGTON ONLY — Tuesday, October 12th at 7 PM
Gospel Singers — Youth Choir from New Covenant Church of Cambridge in Waltham with Choir Director, Brother Anderson St. Louis, speaking on Gospel singing in the United States. The Youth Choir from his church will accompany him and he will demonstrate some of his points using his saxophone.
